Role overview
| To
lead on the development and implementation of VSO Nepal’s Gender
Programme which seeks to empower women and girls, advocate and raise
awareness amongst groups and communities on gender issues including
violence against women and girls, women’s political participation, and
help provide an enabling environment for women and girls to exercise
their rights especially to basic education, maternal and reproductive
health and livelihoods.
The role also includes taking a lead in the effective delivery of an innovative, ambitious, visible, and evidence-based externally funded project on Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG), and requires development of innovative gender-related concepts and seek funding for these towards the achievement of gender programme aims and objectives |
Skills, qualifications and experience required
| You
must have master degree in a relevant subject with proven experience of
gender programme management. Proven experience of securing external
funding, including donor engagement and proposal and report writing is
must.
